Eket, Akwa Ibom State – The EMOIMEE Host Community Development Trust (HCDT) has taken a significant stride in enhancing the quality of life in its host communities with the commissioning of an ultra-modern healthcare center in Eket, and the award of scholarships to 100 deserving students.
Healthcare Center Commissioning
The healthcare center, valued at N50 million, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an emergency unit, maternity ward, laboratory, and pharmacy. The facility will provide quality healthcare services to over 5,000 residents of Eket and surrounding communities.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Chairman of EMOIMEE HCDT, Mr. Ubong Ntekim, emphasized the Trust’s commitment to improving healthcare services in the region. “This healthcare center is a testament to our dedication to providing accessible and quality healthcare to our people.”
Scholarship Awards
In addition to the healthcare center commissioning, EMOIMEE HCDT awarded scholarships to 100 deserving students from the seven host communities. The scholarship program, worth N10 million, aims to support education and empower the next generation of leaders.
The scholarship recipients, selected through a rigorous merit-based process, will receive financial support for their academic pursuits. Addressing the beneficiaries, the Executive Secretary of EMOIMEE HCDT, Dr. Ime Udoh, encouraged them to excel academically and become agents of positive change in their communities.

Residents of Eket and surrounding communities have hailed EMOIMEE HCDT for the healthcare center and scholarship awards. “This healthcare center is a godsend,” said Mrs. Margaret Effiong, a resident of Eket. “Our children will now have access to quality education, thanks to EMOIMEE HCDT’s scholarship program.”

EMOIMEE HCDT’s community development initiatives are made possible through its partnership with Mobil Producing Nigeria. The oil company has been supporting the Trust’s efforts to enhance the quality of life in its host communities.
